It is near a highway but is quiet in general. There are many restaurants on the street next to it. A few staff members seemed inexperienced and had great difficulty finding a package for me that was sent in advance. The shower gel bottle was almost empty, which was surprinsing. Other that these little things, the stay was good.

Everything is just under 5 stars. Good, but not great. I think some rooms could use some rennovation. And a staff member that was bussing tables at the buffet was coughing and sneezing all over the tables/silverware at breakfast one day. I'm sick now 🤒 Aside from those issues, great hotel! Plenty of stores and restaraunts nearby, and even a mall right next door, and Shanghai south tran station is a 15 min walk away.

Welcome to Pullman down to China standards: the door staff would only help you 1 time out of 3 with the luggage or the door, your non-smoking room will smell like an hash tray to the point that even your pillow and bedsheets will stink. And finally they will charge you an extremely ridiculous 200 CNY for a breakfast.

I understand the culture. However if you are not a China native you will not be acknowledged at the front desk unless you but in and make someone look and talk to you. The room was dirty I happen to lay on the floor and look under the dresser it was very dusty months worth. Cob webs in one of the light fixtures above the bed, and along the edge of the tray ceiling. A burn mark spot above the tub. I’ve managed for a cleaning service before and my glass plant offices were cleaner than this. I finger tested the top of the TV and door after noticing the other things. It was also rather dusty. The cold handle leaked while I had the hot turned on out of the faucet in the bathroom. The property is likely old and they need some updating. The price was fair, but the cleanliness and attendance is not up to China standards. I was not greeted at check in, or when I went down to chat with someone about it the second to last day of my stay. A bald manager with glasses was walking around. A lady walked up after me and he greeted her ”你好” and then continued to walk around for a moment. I patiently waited. Then had to forcibly butt in and get the attention of a female manager. I discussed it with her. A local friend said it is better to leave a bad review that will be more effective. I had a business suite as well with a king bed. I would expect these to be extra clean. Room 1122. The breakfast was the best part well done, and good staff.
