We loved that we had a balcony with great view of the waters. Our room was clean and cozy, has a queen size and single bed which was great for 3 months f us. No elevator but staff was so helpfull in carrying our lugagges. Blue mosque/Hagia Sophia/Topkapi palace is walkable from the hotel. This hotel was recommended to us and did not disappoint.

Without doubt, the seaview room is worth the price of the stay on its own. Overall, the room is "rustic" and the hotel is quite charming, with a cozy indoor dining area, a hotel-front setting for having tea or coffee on the street, and a veranda attached to the restaurant where you can sit and admire the view. The food is excellent and fairly priced. The staff are wonderful, kind and helpful. There is no elevator so this may be problematic for older folks and definitely a no-go for mobility challenged individuals. The staff are more than happy to carry your luggage up and down to the room for you, but you still have to navigate the winding staircase on your own. The hotel is only a five minute walk to the heart of the old town -- Hagia Sofya, Blue Mosque, Basilica cistern, etc. It is also about a 10-15 minute walk to the water front where there is a seemingly endless seafront promenade. Typical of Turkey, the price of alcohol is not for the faint of heart! Overall, highly recommended!! Good value for money.

I booked a room with a balcony and sea view. However, the room we were shown on arrival only had a balcony overlook the railway track. They moved us upstairs to a room without a balcony but with a sea view and offered no refund for what should’ve been a cheaper room. The rooms aren’t very sound proof. The location is great and the people running the guesthouse were very friendly.
