Everything was absolutely perfect. The Superior Room with a balcony was comfortable and well appointed, making for a very pleasant stay. The staff were truly exceptional. Special recognition goes to Simon, the concierge and the first member of staff we encountered, whose genuine smile and helpfulness made an excellent first impression. Florence in the breakfast room was equally wonderful, with her warm personality providing a delightful start to each day. Valerie, the breakfast manager, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond by introducing us to his colleagues in management at the Kempinski sister property, Acacia Hotel in Kisumu, ahead of our arrival. Thanks to his thoughtful assistance, we received a complimentary upgrade and exceptional hospitality. Breakfast was consistently delicious and beautifully presented, while dinner at the Asian fusion restaurant was equally outstanding. The only area for improvement would be the traffic noise experienced throughout the night. Upgrading the windows with improved soundproofing would greatly enhance guests' comfort and ensure a more peaceful night's rest. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, made particularly memorable by the outstanding service and genuine warmth of the staff.

Lovely hotel, room is spacious & clean. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Feel very safe with the security at the hotel. Spa is amazing, pool area is wonderful and the pool is just the right temperature. Breakfast is delicious with lots of choice including custom made eggs to order. Vast variety of juices and fruit. Coffee is exceptionally delicious. Food in the Arabic restaurant is also very tasty. Love this hotel, can’t say enough good things!

What could be a great hotel in Nairobi let down by poor front desk staff on 2 seperate bookings. Beds are comfortable with nice sheets and staff friendly excepting for front desk staff. Breakfast was plentiful but quality and taste at Serena is far better. Staff at breakfast were wonderful and remembered orders and preferences. We have traditionally stayed at the Serena We had 2 seperate bookings a week and a bit apart and both checkins received unacceptable service from front desk whilst being overcharged on both stays.We had booked via Hotels.com and booked a larger pricer balcony suite for both bookings.Booking 1 -A day before arrival i called and asked for quiet room which was acknowledged. Our flight was delayed 5 hours and arriving at 2am was expecting a simply welcome to the hotel and check in ended up being a 20 mins ordeal to be told, the quieter rooms are a lower category of room and that is what was ready. I asked for the reduced rate and was told we booked through hotels,com and not their issue). On questioninh why i was not told this the day prior (when i called) and could have changed the booking online to the lower category she shrugged and became defensive and offish.Booking 2- We confimed on check out that we wanted to try the balcony room. On arrival we were told again we had been downgraded to the lower room based on the the previous stay. Stay here at your peril and suggest their competitior around the corner, Still awating my credit from the hotel.
