General manager was very sweet trying to make our visit better by moving us up to the third floor walkup. However a few things were not up to standard. 1st floor is a basement which has 5 stairs down. Avoid the rooms next to the leaking ice machine, in the basement level, there is a noticable smell from the carpets on that floor in the rooms. The view from the basement rooms is a crumbling wall and a pipe, which they have blocked with a film on the windows. Bathrooms are tiny on all floors. " 2nd floor" is 5 stairs up. They will help you with your bags if you need it, since there is no elevator. Pool was freezing cold. Hottub was being worked on for chemical balance midday for a few hours, so did not get to use it. TV is not cable based and when the hotel is full, the streaming pauses made it impossible to watch. This was an issue only when the hotel was full, rainstorm or clear skies. Overloaded internet. Room on the third floor was spotless but there may have been a cigar smoker somewhere on that floor, there were times when you could smell it in the room. The hotel was recently painted and carpets were newer but this is an older property and comes with problems related to that, not the fault of the Gm.
