The Dartmoor Lodge
"A new hotel with very friendly staff who brought a dog bowl to the dog friendly room. A bit of confusion between Hotel app and the hotel itself as to what had been booked and paid for, despite booking 2 adults, a 16 yo and a dog and replying the their email giving all the details again for 3 adults and a dog, and again at check out I was asked again who was in the room! Didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked lovely. Very nicely kitted out room, a massive bed with an amazing mattress and bedding. Would stay again!"
The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon
"Lovely hotel in a wonderful setting. Staff were friendly and accommodating."
Bovey Castle
"Wonderful time at Bovey. We missed one of our activities, and the staff rebooked us to another the next day, free of charge. Wonderful hospitality here. Thank you!"
Cromwell Arms
"The Cromwell Arms was an amazing historic site. The food, pub, and service were outstanding. The grounds and outdoor seating area was beautiful. No A/C and a thin mattress were the only things keeping this from property from receiving an excellent rating. To be fair, the listing did not indicate A\C, so we booked knowing this:)."
Passage House Hotel
"The hotel is currently being renovated. The staff were polite and helpful. Our breakfast service was very slow. "
Kestor Inn

Mill End Hotel
"Staff were excellent. Room was comfortable but bed was not, however Housekeeping put a mattress topper on the mattress which greatly improved the comfort element, but polyester filled pillows were not great. Overall would rate the hotel 7/10."
Three Crowns
"The room was fairly small but both the room and the shower room were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was absolutely excellent."
Anrán at Tidwell Farm
"Lovely location in super grounds. Warm welcome and excellent accommodation"

During your visit, you can explore the charming small-town atmosphere, indulge in local cheese delicacies, unwind at a spa, or enjoy cocktails in a secluded bar. The surrounding countryside offers hilly landscapes perfect for hunting or leisurely strolls, making your trip great value for money. Plus, there’s always a chance that prices may drop, making it an even more affordable getaway.

The Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're informed if prices drop or new rooms become available, making your last-minute getaway even more accessible.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at a Newton Abbot hotel. For those seeking unique accommodations, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it's on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying in close proximity to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes at a higher price. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further afield, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
