The Gateway Hotel
"The mattress and pillows were amazing. A great night's sleep. The food at the restaurant on the evening was amazing. Very dog friendly. Outside seating with blankets lovely touch. Well recommended. We enjoyed our stay."
Damson Dene Hotel
"Nice hotel , nice garden with places to sit in among the ducks. Clean rooms . Bit unsure on how to get into the model village on site , no information on it anywhere. Got to the gate only to find you needed a ticket from reception which is a good way back up hill so didn’t bother. Sign at reception would have been a good idea. Lovely receptionist when we checked in but the one in the morning was so miserable, never smiled and just seemed like she didn’t want to be there . Having said that would definitely stay again , comfortable hotel"
Station Inn
"A family of 4 we stayed in Troutbeck, it was a really large room and bathroom for four. Lovely extra touches like tissues, room diffuser and body lotion. It was a little hot as it’s in the attic but it was the hottest day of the year ! We drove and there’s a massive car park but it would not be an easy walk uphill from the station."
Watermill Inn & Brewing Co
"Great location for Windermere, and the food was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely return if in the area."
