Laguna Hotel

Laguna Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"I really liked the vibe of Laguna hotel and would stay there again. I feel like the hospitality is from another era. If you don't mind walking a bit, there is a nice park that stretches all the way to the beach without too much walking along streets and so it was nice to have a long weekend with nice strolls instead of running up the uber bill. Walkable for restaurants as well."

"This was our second visit to this hotel. We really love the location, the breakfast buffet, and the friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a challenge, we were out all day everyday and when we returned the hotel parking lot was usually completely full. We were only able to park onsite 3 out 7 nights. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff were top notch. Everyone but one lady was very kind and welcoming."

"The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. There was no shaver socket in the bathroom, no body lotion and no facial tissues. The radiator heating was not on, but for a single night it was tolerable. Had I been staying longer I would have requested a fan heater for this North-facing room."

"Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. The decoration of the whole venue is incredible with so much to look at. There is a lot of car spaces but the area is very busy so it’s a bit of a search to find one."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Dorchester

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Dorchester is during January, February, and October when hotel prices are lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully immerse yourself in the town’s key historical landmarks and cultural attractions. You'll find friendly locals, charming coffee shops, and fascinating museums that delve into the region's rich history and archaeology. The picturesque countryside and small-town vibe add to the great value for money, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a budget-friendly getaway. Prices may drop during these months, providing an even more enticing opportunity to explore this cultural gem.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com may offer attractive hotel deals for Dorchester. You could find last-minute deals by exploring the Last-Minute Deals section, where discounted hotel options close to your travel date might be available. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and timely promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool on the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you receive updates on availability and price drops so you can secure a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can differ based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates may help you save on your stay in Dorchester hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personal touch and sometimes offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more attractive rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Dorchester's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel further out that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even nearby, lesser-known towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
