"Lovely location, staff very friendly and helpful, food was very good. Lots of options at breakfast. Warning for people with mobility issues-lots and lots of stairs to get around the place. Indoor pool was very stuffy and humid. Very well appointed gym. Beds could’ve been more comfortable. The mattress pad doesn’t go to the edges which isn’t so great with two people in the double. Nice touch having free apples, biscuits and water at reception."

"Lovely old property, it was right for us within nice walking distance to darley park for a concert( 20 mins). Very quiet area, slept lovely, comfy bed and pillows. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Perhaps needs a bit of tlc and promoting as it didn't seem busy and really should be. If the outside door looks closed late at night just push it you can get in. Good value for money."

Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal for your stay in a Derby hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, potentially helping you to secure a more attractive rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be pricier, but with Derby's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
