Hotel location and quality for price were outstanding. However breakfast was quite poor (and worse than other reviews indicated) and although restaurant staff were excellent and attentive the food quality was disappointing on both occasions. Would go back though but would eat elsewhere.

The is a period hotel that reveals in its charms. Classic attention to detail and supporting of local business's. Exceptional view across the sea from appropriate rooms. Great reception and welcome of this hotel in a fabulous location overlooking tge bay. Room well furnished and bery comfortable, super en suite with shower, plenty hot wster. Airy with opening windows. We had 3rd floor room (elevator👍). Breakfast room with sea views and sit out balcony. Restaurant/bar separate at street level with great furnishing indoors and wonderful balcony overlooking the bay. Staff and service superb. I had the biggest sea bass i’ve had anywhere. Great food especially the veggies. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Rooms are very small Asked to use bathroom when we arrived but not one available in hotel ??!! We could use the restaurant across the road but wasn’t open. The waitresses are amazing though particularly Gracie, so friendly and couldn’t do enough!

We booked 3 nights at the Pegwell and I would say it’s the best hotel in Ramsgate. From getting a nice early check in, to the delicious breakfast every thing was spot on. The walk into Ramsgate is around 40 minutes and is lovely, we found the location perfect, and very quiet. Highly recommend the hotel and Ramsgate for a weekend break.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. All staff were so lovely and happy and helpful. Spotlessly clean- cleaners were amazing! Didn’t book a wedding party room so mine was at the back of the hotel. The room would have been small for two people but for me, on my own, it was fine. Great ensuite. Breakfast was nice. A little bit of a continental choice and a choice from the menu of delicious hot food. I would definitely stay again but book a room with a sea view.

Breakfast was great. Hot, served fast and flexible. The staff in the restaurant were great. Compliments to the chef. The only thing we found was a difficulty with the television. You had to stand right in front of it and hold the 'on button for about 30 seconds before it would come on. Also, it was difficult to change channels, especially getting to number 1. It wiould have been nice to have instructions if that is normal and a list of channels available.

Booked the Pegwell Bay Hotel to stay nearby after a gig in Dreamlands Margate. It was a 20 mins drive away and had ample free parking. Check in was quick and really friendly. The hotel is a classic seaside hotel with impressive architecture and that old school vibe. Some things were a little dated, cracked lampshades and microholes in sheets but it didn't feel dated like most and was charming and clean. Popped down to have some breakfast in the morning and was anticipating a continental affair, instead a good selection of warm food on offer. He had the eggs benny and I scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Was delish and soo quick with the super friendly staff. Bonus point getting to have it on the balcony with sea view on a lovely day. Get a chance to visit the pub across the way but if we had stayed a bit longer would have as it looked lovely. Really well situated for the area if you're driving - including a random viking ship replica 7 mins down the road...
