Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We felt like we were staying in a real Roman apartment. We had a large attic room with some unique features like vaulted ceilings that showed the underside of the tile roofing and beautiful old beams. The AC in the bedroom worked really well and the AC in the main room worked well enough. The cleaning staff on site and over text were kind and the space was clean. We absolutely loved the authentically old building and the quiet street it is on. Upon arrival we called the number to check in, and were asked to get the What'sApp app. Then we were able to text with someone about our questions, door code, requesting no service and to pay the taxes over PayPal since we didn't have cash on us. Two concerns we had that might be different in other rooms or cultural differences: 1. We did have some issues because there were no door signs for "service please" or "do not disturb" available. We texted, but we still had mixups on two of the days. 2. Also, the "bathtub or shower" that was listed in the description was confusing to us. Built under the eaves, it was either a tall/deep rectangular shaped tile bathtub that reminded us of a pool or perhaps a VERY short shower that you must bend under the beams and try to stand in the skylight to use. Unfortunately, we found it difficult either way. There was also a wall socket on the rear wall of the bath/shower and an electrical skylight above it, which is not allowed where we live. Still, we did enjoy our stay.
