"Flexible Service provided. Ocean view was great"
Shima Kanko Hotel The Bay Suites
"Conveniently located near the train station, Kashikojima. The western breakfast was amazing.. the view was stunning. We had our dinner and the Michelin stared French restaurant and the teppanyaki. Both were great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We will return to this hotel during spring."
Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace
"A very charming resort with very beautiful surroundings. We booked the villa and the room is spacious. The loft is spacious but the stairs were quite steep. Unfortunately, the public bath is under upgrading works during our stay and we did not get to use it."
Villa 33 Kashikojima
"I had an amazing stay here and truly can’t thank the staff enough for how kind and helpful they were during my trip to Shima. The hotel itself was beautiful, very comfortable, and had such a relaxing atmosphere. The onsen was also wonderful — very clean, peaceful, and private, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Saito and the rest of the staff went completely above and beyond for me. They even drove me where I needed to go the next day when they absolutely did not have to, which I was incredibly grateful for. When I returned looking for my lost AirPod, they didn’t just point me in a direction — they actively helped me search my room and even looked throughout the hotel with me. That level of care and hospitality is something you don’t forget. Everyone here was so welcoming and genuine, and they made my stay feel special from beginning to end. If I ever come back to Shima, I will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!"

Kashikojima Hotel Bay Garden
"the little bit of sea view from the room is a nice surprise."
Nemu Resort Hotel Nemu
"This property is lovely! It is pretty remote, but there is an hourly shuttle bus to and from Kashikojima train station if you want to do anything off property. The food is pretty pricey and there is a cost for most activities. The onsen is beautiful. All in all I would recommend staying here. "

Visitors can enjoy experiences such as the local aquarium, theme park, and the charming small-town atmosphere, as well as indulging in delicious seafood at the marina. Additionally, Shima offers opportunities for swimming, adventure activities, and relaxation in natural parks and hot springs, making it great value for money for travellers seeking both adventure and culture.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Shima, to score a hotel deal on Hotels.com, you may discover attractive offers in the DealsOpens in a new window section, while last-minute bookings might be found under the Last-Minute Deals area. For added convenience, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed of flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature on the app serves as a handy tool to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see an opportunity to book a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could potentially help you find a more affordable stay at the Shima hotel. If you're interested in distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Remaining in close proximity to major attractions or city centres can offer convenience, though this typically comes with higher expenses. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to your planned destinations. You might also explore independent hotels situated further out, which usually tend to be cheaper and can provide a more authentic, budget-friendly experience.
