Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl

Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl

8/10 Good
"We initially booked this hotel because the photos featured a swimming pool. Upon arrival, however, we learned the pool isn't included in the booking as it's managed independently by another company for an extra fee. While we were willing to pay, we then discovered our young daughter wasn't allowed access, which was a major disappointment for our family. The standard room was quite disappointing for a Hilton property, showing visible stains on the carpet and noticeable wear and tear. It was bad enough that we requested a room change; upgrading to a Junior Suite made a world of difference and was much nicer. Breakfast was average. The bacon was tough to eat, and the fresh fruit lacked flavor. On a positive note, the dining staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and friendly. If you enjoy cricket or golf, the location is a real highlight. Our room featured a lovely balcony overlooking the cricket pitch, allowing us to watch a live game during our stay. Reception staff were generally professional, though a few felt a bit cold. Overall, without the Junior Suite upgrade, the hotel feels rather average."

  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable option for your stay in a Bembridge hotel. For those seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price leans towards the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you secure a more favourable rate.
  4. Consider your location: Opting to stay nearer to key attractions or city centres may present convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more budget-friendly options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. Independent hotels located further afield usually tend to be more affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
