Apex Waterloo Place Hotel

8/10 Good
"The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful, and friendly, however lugging suitcases up 82 stairs and a 5min walk from the carpark to the hotel was rather off putting. So we left suitcases in the car. The hotel itself was very clean and well presented, and the room was very clean and spacious, though having twin beds fully made but pushed right together was a new one for us. We specifically chose a bath option, but the overflow on the bath was so low, it made having a nice soak impossible. The bathroom had some black corners, but otherwise it was clean. The room itself was rather stuffy, even with aircon, but thankfully you could still open windows, even on the higher floors. The breakfast was fantastic! Everything presented was delicious, and had so many different options to suit anyone. Though my partner wasn't overly happy with his coffee (att. coffee connoisseurs) Overall it was a nice place, comfy beds, black out curtains and good service."

  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable option for your stay in a Dunfermline hotel. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that might help you discover a more favourable rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Dunfermline's excellent public transport links, you may find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money.
