"The hotel is located in a residential area, and the lobby and breakfast room were charming in a New England inn way. The room was large and very clean with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker and comfortable bed. The location is excellent for exploring Newport if you are driving or don't mind walking 30 minutes or taking the bus to the downtown trolley as it is just past the Newport border in Middletown. Breakfast is exactly as advertised: a continental grab and go breakfast of fruit, yogurt, muffins and microwavable sandwiches. The staff is friendly and helpful. The following cons were not deal breakers for me, but good to know when booking: My room was on the ground floor with windows facing the parking lost, so I kept my blinds closed for privacy. Also, the fridge is unusually noisy, even on a low temperature, so you may need to turn it off if you're a light sleeper. The only food in the immediate area is Domino's pizza, so you will need to drive about 10 minutes on Main Street in Middletown for more options nearby. Overall, a great option for lodging in the area."
