6/10 Good

The bedrooms are quite cramped; making the beds is difficult because the beds are so close together and packed into the space. The house we stayed in felt like its been squeezed into a leftover spot behind other houses. The whole park itself feels very "tight" apart from the communal areas — the houses are too close together, if you want to use your porch, it feels like the guests on neighboring houses are right there with you. The access for cars are much narrower than at other holiday parks we’ve visited in the Netherlands, so we didn't feel safe letting our 7-year-old ride his bike alone. The outdoor playground is great, as is the water park. The indoor pool gets very crowded, but it’s a good option for rainy days. Car access closes at 10 PM, so if you stay at Efteling until the park closes in summer months, you'll have to park in the outer lot and walk back to your house—carrying tired children all the way (for us, it was a 15-minute walk). We ran out of gas in our house, but when we notified reception, the tank was promptly replaced.
It was nice to have A/C.
