Hotel Ocean

10/10 Excellent
"We had a brilliant stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t fault it! The hotel itself is lovely, and our room was fantastic — really spacious, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor, with a brilliant view across Great Yarmouth. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the shower was hot with fantastic water pressure for being on the top floor, and the big, white, fluffy towels were a lovely touch. The room also had a dressing table, kettle with tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was really convenient. One of the best things was how quiet the room was at night. We had an absolutely brilliant night’s sleep, which made our stay even better. The staff were amazing — so friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and they really made us feel welcome. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. A lovely hotel, brilliant room, great views and amazing staff. Highly recommended!"

Andover House Hotel & Restaurant - Adults only

10/10 Excellent
"My 2nd visit to thus hotel; room 26 this time, and the entire stay was just as good as the 1st time. Staff are friendly and courteous, food is very good (I had dinner and breakfast). The gym was spotless and empty with some decent kit to break off some of the cobwebs after a long day travelling for work. There is free parking outside. I've stayed in a couple of hotels in GY, but this is my regular place now. Very good value for money too!"

Wellesley Park Hotel

Wellesley Park Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Check in a was very simple. The gentleman who greeted us was very helpful, he told us we was able to get takeaway and eat within the room. It was within about a 10-15 minute walk to the main town ( we had 2 young children with us) we had a big spacious room on the ground floor. The room was clean and fresh, with towels for our stay, kettle with tea coffee and hot chocolate and milk. Plenty of storage. The only thing was the neighbours were incredibly noisy one night in the middle of the night but luckily it didnt wake our children. I would definitely consider staying here again. Very comfortable rooms and a great price :-)"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Great Yarmouth

For a comprehensive exploration of the town’s landmarks, history, and cultural attractions — including the theme park, sea, friendly people, culture, sand beach, sharks, recreation, theatre, budget, and aquarium — a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This budget-friendly destination offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com may help you discover great hotel deals in Great Yarmouth by checking the DealsOpens in a new window section, where you could find budget-friendly options. For those seeking last-minute escapes, the Last-Minute Deals section might offer discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool, available via the app, lets you compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to spot special offers and flash sales. Stay updated through email alerts or push notifications for the latest opportunities to secure a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find better rates for your stay in a hotel in Great Yarmouth. For those interested in distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer good value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier; however, with Great Yarmouth's superb public transport connections, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
