Zakopane, well known for its skiing and mountains, features attractions such as Gubalowka Market and Polish Ropeways S.A. Dolna Gubałówka Station. The city has something for everyone including sights like Krupowki Street and Mount Gubalowka Ski Resort within a secluded setting.
The town centre reminds me of Disneyworld, with the crowds and the souvenir shops. But it has a happy vibe throughout the town, there are several restaurants and bars and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The train from Krakow is cheap too.

There was not alot of snow this year, but most ski slopes have artificial snow canons. For good Skiing you should get a bus (from local terminal) to bialka tatrzanska

A larger town than expected,so moving around difficult.Good job I had a car .The ski areas are wide apart and not like French purpose built resorts .

There's lots to do in Zakopane but it was bigger and busier than I expected
"The amenities beyond surpassed expectations. There is so much included in this stay, multiple saunas, ice bath, large pool, jacuzzi. All included. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We were close to everything and on a very peaceful street. It is a very easy, convenient walk from the bus station. Close to food, snack shop, a beautiful park. Everyone was ice and helpful. So much included for the price. We would absolutely stay here again! "
"We really liked the pool and the sauna. We used it every day after sightseeing to relax. The location is perfect, less than a minute walk from Krupówka street but away from the crowds. The staff was super nice. One important note if you visit in the summer, only certain units have air conditioning. Ours had it which was very important to us. "
"Great location. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Our room was by the main road so they changed us to a quieter location immediately and without fuss."
