It's a cheap option considering its location within Dublin, but it was not comfortable at all.

good place to stay in Dublin
alltogether it was quite nice, only the taps / waterpressure in the ensuite was pathetic.

Awful hostel
Room was not very clean. Bathroom smelled of mildew. Poor matching of people in room as I was the only female with 3 other males in a mixed dorm. One guy was up all night having sex in the bed across from me which kept me up all night. Seeing as this was my first hostel stay ever, I didn't know the rules. Otherwise I would have reported it. Loud location.

It's a hostel not a hotel.
A twin room is actually a 2 bunkbed dorm without the other 2 people

Great location, but not great beds.
The location was great, but the free breakfast was really minimal, the whole place didn't smell very good, and our single beds didn't have small sheets, they had big sheets that were folded over so you couldn't really tuck them in well, but instead it's like sleeping in a taco. Therefore, when you sleep, nothing stays in place. I thought it wasn't worth what we paid for.

It doesn't take too long to walk to the Temple bar
Shower and bathroom in the four person room I stayed in was tiny and not great. Couldn't really have a descent shower. As for the room, it all depends on who you've got in there at the time. I was lucky. But two of them snored and the room occasionally stank from rucksacks and shoes that definately needed some airing. The morning breakfast was a bit manic, not enough spaces for all but still good food and options to buy better food and drinks. The staff were very helpful

Booked a double room and got two double bunks instead. Very let down over false expectations

This is a hostel.
We booked this hostel because it had en-suite facilities and was well-located in central Dublin. It delivered on location, but the room was very basic. I am too old for bunk beds. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.

garr cleary, the unitarian church - and a room too
went to Dublin for the garr cleary cd launch at the Unitarian church on Stephen's green - so, hostel was perfectly located. the food options were good, security was good and there was plenty of hot water. i was only there overnight...and it suited my purposes perfectly. check-in and out were hassle-free...breakfast was basic but fine...tea was nice...no limits, no worries...room was a little small, and much too warm when i went to bed at 1.30 am - despite window being open. it was a 4-bed and it was a warm night, so...again, no biggie. people seemed very happy to be there, lots of smily, chatty people; and the place does a roaring trade in coffees, latte's etc...to the public as much as residents. wi-fi connection was easy and good; enough electricity sockets around... was reasonable value for money, i suppose - it wasn't hotel price but also wasn't hotel standard. did what i needed it to do for me; i would recommend it with few reservations - and wouldn't hesitate to use it again...

Definitely a hostel
Ok...you have understand that you are staying in a hostel...not a hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We crashed there for just a night but couldn't stand dealing with noise of other guests. There was a few signs notifying guests to remain respectful of other guests with the noise...however there was not much follow-through when it came to regulating the noise. It was full of guests drinking in halls and rooms and screaming at top of their lungs all night...even though signs were posted that alcohol was not permitted in hostel...again, not much follow-through of their own rules :-/ want to party, go here. Want to have cheap place to rest...go elsewhere or pester staff to keep the peace.

Awful place
The room was truly awful. Bright lights that won't be switched off, loud pipes when neighbouring guests have a shower. Sheets were unclean. Horrid.

Nothing fancy but worth the price
Stayed here for a couple nights with friends while studying abroad. Was definitely worth the price. Only downside, the internet was down when we arrived so we had to wait to check in and the free wi-fi is not always available due to internet issues.

Cheap, convenient hostel
Hostel was easy to find off the 16 bus route and was clean throughout. We'd booked a twin room but ended up in a 4 bed dorm as sole occupants as there were no twins available. Good location, close to a lot of the Southern Dublin sights.
