Was perfect spot for our family. Close enough to boardwalk and beach, but not right on top of the action all night. Super helpful and friendly staff

Location, Location, Location! It is just one block from the Boardwalk Arch, with great casual restaurants nearby (Soprano's Pizza!), including an amazing craft cocktail spot (The Treehouse Bar). The staff is helpful, friendly, and responsive. The rooms are CLEAN and very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.

8/10 Very good

The room was clean and the staff very helpful. The only thing is that the pool was small and not very clean. The umbrella at one of the tables was broken and needed to be replaced for guests that want to be shaded from the sun.

The hotel was amazing that this was our 3rd in a row booking our vacation at this location! The staff is fantastic and the hotel is great place to stay and close to the beach! As someone who is disabled the accessible room is the perfect space for the electric scooter and all our stuff as a family. The only thing we wish we had was more counter space in the bathroom

Very clean, loved the pool, the staff was friendly definitely good for families only thing I hated was the parking, SUPER tight spaces for an SUV but we made it work

The room was very clean. Bed was very supportive and comfy (not gullied out). Staff was very nice. Nice view of the ocean from the 5th floor. Only a block from the boardwalk and its a very active section of the boardwalk.

6/10 Good

Overall, our stay was good. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the pool was a nice amenity. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The location was definitely a highlight—just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk, with plenty of great restaurant options nearby. While nothing really stood out as exceptional, it was a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Staff were amazing. Parking is easily accessible and it’s within walking distance to everything at the inlet

8/10 Very good

Great location one block away from the boardwalk and nice balcony. Hotel was in good shape, though the carpets in the room could use either a deep cleaning or a replacement. The beds only had a comforter and no top sheet, which we found odd. Spacious refrigerator in the room. It also has a small pool, which was helpful to us when the ocean wasn't usable because of large amount of jellyfish.

Room and common areas were kept very clean. Staff were attentive and extremely polite. It has become my new go to place for my OC trips. I will be recommending the Gateway to my friends and family.

A pretty good spot for the price. The room was clean and service was acceptable. The biggest downside was the parking. The area and even the stalls were very tight.
Verified review

8/10 Very good

Very clean, very close to the beach, parking is tight, pool is small. I read somewhere on Expedia that they offer breakfast. This is incorrect.

It was clean and nice. The staff were great. When I checked in I saw gift bags but I didn't get one assuming they are probably ly for their regulars. The only thing is the street is busy and loud at night. I can see the ocean from the balcony and that was nice.

8/10 Very good

The lobby coffee station was great, tasted amazing and a real treat. The lobby decor was fun and fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful when asked. The check-in goody bag was a nice touch. The room was spacious and always smelled fresh upon entry. The bathroom needed a few cosmetic improvements. There was laminate wall peeling up; you have to do a full body twist to reach back and grab toilet paper while on the toilet - recommend installing the holder in front of the toilet versus completely behind it; and the bath vanity lighting was super small, put off poor lighting, brighter bathroom lighting is always a plus. Enjoyed the new closet style shower layout; however, the open concept removes the ability to drape wet towels, washcloths or bathing suits, so we got creative. Overall, a nice stay for the price! Keep pressing on Gateway!!

Great location and very convenient! The room was spotless and clean, and the view from the balcony was absolutely amazing. It was such a great stay that if I had to choose again, I would definitely pick this place next time without hesitation. The only downside is that they don’t provide breakfast—it would be perfect if they did. Still, I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
