Cork International Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Although this hotel is near the airport and not the city center, we used the public bus both ways to the city center and it was very easy. The front desk staff can give you information about the bus. Taking the shuttle to the airport is very easy - just tell the lobby desk what time you'd like to leave and they will arrange it. The shuttle typically leaves every half hour. Food in The New Yorker was very good."

"AC didn't work very well in our room, but it was cool enough that the window was enough. Room was small, but had a huge window to see the city and river. Bathroom was clean and shower was nice. Didn't need a key card to turn on electric. Breakfast was good and they had allergy info available. Location was great, close to bus stops and train station, good restaurants close, and close to most attractions."

Clayton Hotel Cork City

8/10 Good
"The room was very spacious and felt premium. However, one of the curtains was damaged, and there was a large stain on the carpet. Though this was only minor as they were only slight cosmetic issues. The biggest issue was the air-conditioning as it barely even worked. We actually found it was more cooling to open the window. If you’re booking because their air conditioning I recommend you book elsewhere. Overall, it was really nice, and the restaurant was also great, I recommend you get the chocolate orange pudding. Also, remember to bring a swim cap as they require it at the pool. They do have swim caps for purchase for €4 if you don’t pack one as well."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Cork

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Cork is during January, February, and November, when hotel rates tend to be lower. For an enriching experience, staying for at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully discover the city's significant landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions. While you're there, you can enjoy great value for money by exploring local shopping, dining options, and vibrant theatres, as well as immersing yourself in the friendly atmosphere filled with live music and entertaining tours.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Cork on Hotels.com, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don't miss any opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make the best choice. By staying updated on your favourite hotels, you're more likely to seize a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable option for your stay in a Cork hotel. If you're interested in unique accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more budget-friendly option.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Cork's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even some of the lesser-known nearby towns, you are often likely to find excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
