For just one night, it was ok.
The welcome went well and as the room was not ready we were offered to store our luggage while waiting, which was appreciated. Afterwards we ate there. For this aspect, the service was very unpleasant. The waitress didn't help us understand the menu and she made no effort to understand us (her English wasn't very good). We also ordered 2 Aperol spritzs and the waiter looked discouraged, he didn't seem to have the inclination to serve us. To finish, the room was very clean, the bathroom had a nice large shower, but there was a very unpleasant smell of humidity in the room. We were told that it was normal. The ventilation hatch in the room being very dirty, that didn't help. Breakfast was served on the rooftop, which was a big plus. For just one night, it was ok.

We would never stay there again! The hotel itself was fine. It’s right next to the main Rome train station (Roma Termini) so it’s convenient. The issue we had was the night we stayed at the hotel, there was a problem with the fire alarm. From about midnight and all night long, it went off every few minutes. We couldn’t sleep at all. There was no apology, no explanation at all. So the conclusion is that if everything is fine then the hotel is fine. If there are issues then you’re on your own. Pay a little extra and stay at a better hotel where they care about the customers.

No cupboard to put your clothes, no space in the bathroom to put your stuff as well. Breakfast is not buffet but you have to ask the staff every time to put food in your plate, I find it super annoying. Hotel is near main train bus station area so it’s not v clean and I could see homeless ppl sleeping in the street through my window

Nice hotel!
My husband and I stayed for 6 days and would definitely stay again. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable though the bed was a little firmer than we normally prefer. The only minor annoyances to note were that in our room the shower filled with water very quickly so we’d have to shut it off a few times while showering so that the water could drain before finishing up. Also, we’re not sure why but on 2 nights the fire alarm went or was somehow set off though there was no emergency, which caused a little panic. Otherwise everything was great!

Nice welcome with complimentary champagne! Moderno Hotel is close to Roma Termini. A little far for me where the action is... but wonderful place and for a change, a modern hotel with big shower room and separate room for the toilet. Great place! Thanks!

This is more like a 2 star hotel. The tv didnt work, the bathroom was dirty. The sink acted up. The door did not close and elevator had response issues. Plus the breakfast was just wrapped snacks not real breakfast. They also had construction going which was annoying. They also did not refill everything in the rooms like soap. The only positive is the workers were nice.
