8/10 Very good

Very pleased we chose Abitart for our trip to Rome. After a lot of research, it was hard to find a decently priced hotel that didnt look outdated. Abitart was great - Easy to take a straight train from the airport. Carrefour supermarket a few doors down the road. The area isn't the nicest but it is well connected with Ostiense and Piramide nearby. Big room, clean, sky tv, staff friendly. Could have done with a full length mirror in the room and couldn't get into the safe (no key) and a bit more variety at breakfast but overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Property was great, if a bit old, staff was top notch. Area around the property is a bit sketchy but we had no issues walking to and from the train station. Breakfast wasn’t particularly good but the coffee was excellent

For my purposes, perfectly located. The area outside the hotel is a bit scruffy but seems safe enough with some excellent eating options nearby. Room was very clean and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Rome a beautiful city…
Helpful staff, very good service. The location was a little bit out of the centre and most attractions we’re only reachable by taxi…Overall it was a good stay. I recommend this hotel for sure..

The parking garage is located right next to the hotel and they charged 24 euros per day. We kept the car there all 3 days and just paid for a 3 day train ticket to get into Rome, as parking in the city is way more expensive. The train station is walking distance from the hotel and was easy enough to navigate. Upon arrival we were given a dirty/unturned room and the staff was extremely helpful and gave us a new room immediately. Breakfast buffet was included, you just need to tell the staff your room number when entering. The room was ok, the bathroom is a bit on the older side but doable.

4/10 Fair

Calling it a 4-stars hotel is quite a stretch. Has that '90s-Almodovar-style, so be advised. Not particularly well kept. Damaged surfaces, streaks of paint on walls, grouting half-gone in the toilet, light bulbs with random colour temperature. You name it, they did it in a bit of a random way ( not in the artsy sense of it ). Had to change room as my TV was not working, then the cleaning team inadvertently left my room open for the whole day while I was away. I was kind of shocked when I came back and found about it. Immediately reported it to the concierge and they didn't do much in order to make my stay a little bit extra special, given the trouble encountered, which is sad. Breakfast is fairly basic. Not a huge choice and their cakes offer is based on industrially-made stuff, which is not something you would expect from an Artsy hotel based in quite a vibrant part of Rome. Disappointing. Minibar content: miserable. Laundry service is outsourced ( IE: very slow ). You'd be better off with one of the several local laundromats available nearby. Overall, this place could be fantastic with a little fix here and there, but instead it's miserable.

Abitart Hotel is a great hotel in a cool, off the beaten tourist path in Rome. Near a big university there’s a fun vibe, good food all around, historic sites within a 5 minute walk and not too many tourists. The hotel is full of modern art, has an incredibly helpful and friendly staff, and spacious, clean rooms. The breakfast was great!

We only stayed for one night, but it was very pleasant. While it was far from everything there is Taxis and the metro near by. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum from there. We stayed for one night and chose it because it was closer to the airport. It was very clean would consider staying again.

Abitart very Artsy and close to some sights, but the attitudes of the staff is a bit stuck up and unfriendly. I have stayed in many hotels - 35 to be precise since I joined hotels.com and I had excellent service in 33 of these - I must say: to tell me to walk with my luggage from the train station is a bit rude, I weigh less than 50kg and my luggage weighed more than me. I asked for help with transport and was more than willing to pay for taxi, but reception tells me to walk and carry my own luggage WOW. I asked for a bathtub and they give me shower only- no explanation what so ever. I strained my muscles on that walk, carrying my heavy load - I needed that bathtub. Very non caring.

Nice hotel
Nice hotel, reasonably price. The decor is quirky, the hotel is different and modern. The reception staff were very helpful, restaurant service was very slow and had to keep asking for things but the food was very good. The hotel doesn’t have an iron in the room,
