We absolutely loved our stay at The Regis. Beautiful, well maintained facilities at a private beach, as well as located in a secluded area. It was quiet, peaceful, perfect for relaxation and recharge. The food was one of the best ones I have had! Their spa was wonderful as well. Above all, the service we received was top notch! My only complain is, our vacation days were too short lol— We didn’t want to leave! :)

5-Star Experience!

I was here for 7 days. Amazing resort. Staff are extra-friendly, kind and helpful. Everything was 5-star at this place - from drinks, to food, to beach - everything. The only thing - buyer-beware the beaches in this part of the country are VERY rocky and the photos do not reflect that so if you're wanting to swim around and white sandy beaches - avoid Punta Mita.

What a magnificent location for a property! Part of the beach where they clear the rocks is amazing. The place felt totally empty. Very spacious. Excellent service. Property is designed by an A architect. It's spacious; room design is thoughtful; staff is so, so helpful; staff responded to items that needed fixing (patio fan, safe cabinet door) in a timely manner. I'd recommend it to anyone. Beautiful place. Recommend. Saw one roach in our bathroom but I understand that sometimes that’s unavoidable. St. Regis made our stay smooth. Took care of us and our fur baby. Staff is professional, limd and friendly. The rooms were OK, though not the most spacious. One big disappointment was that the fitness center was closed; instead they offered a make shift alternative in a conference room which was an extremely cramped space the size of a home gym with very limited options. Also, based on recommendations, we had very high expectations of the food at the restaurants. Marieta, the casual restaurant was OK, as it offered delicious tacos and quesedillas, but the higher end Mita was disappointing. The food quality was OK, nothing extraordinary but the portions were outrageously small.

The room itself was adequate. The one feature we did love was the outdoor shower. However, the lighting in the room was extremely dark, and despite booking a full ocean-view room, our view was largely blocked by a pool umbrellas with only a very limited glimpse of the ocean. During our stay, multiple events took place that shut down key areas of the hotel, including pools and restaurants. This significantly limited dining and amenity options and should have been clearly communicated in advance. One wedding, located close to our room, was exceptionally loud for over eight hours and had a major impact on our ability to relax and enjoy the day. It felt more like a Vegas-style event atmosphere than a tranquil resort experience. Dining was another major disappointment. The few available restaurants were extremely expensive, and the food quality did not justify the cost. Overall, the food and beverage experience was very poor. The beach area was also underwhelming. Only a very small portion was walkable, and there was a very limited area considered safe for swimming. On our second-to-last morning, gardeners began digging and cutting directly beside our patio at 8:00 a.m., which woke us abruptly. Despite requesting multiple times to speak with a manager about our concerns, we were never contacted. Overall, this hotel was a significant disappointment. It lacked atmosphere, character, and attention to guest experience, and unfortunately, I would not recommend it.
