We stayed 4 nights at Villa Bela Vista and found the hotel luxurious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. The breakfast was elegant, delicious, and served in a wonderful dining area with a beautiful new of the valley. It feels like a very well appointed home with a great service. We recommend this hotel to those who travel to Sintra. Sintra is not very car-friemdly and if you can avoid driving, it will be more practical and comfortable. Uber is easily available if you need a car although you will end up walking to most places.

Beautiful property near the heart of Sintra. Great
Beautiful property with fantastic views of Sintra. Newly renovated and appointed. Our bed was very comfortable. The room was fantastic, replete with tall windows and shutters, a marble bathroom with a stunning tub and shower. Located just a few minutes walk from center city Sintra where there are bare, restaurants, and shops galore. The only issue is getting into the hotel. The street be is busy in front of the hotel door. If you have a lot of luggage or bags, you’ll have to carefully manage getting them across the street from the parking area. And you have to be very careful not to miss the hotel as you drive the loop to Sintra’s most popular historical sites — the Moorish castle and the National Palace.

We had an incredible stay at this wonderful property. The view from our room was stunning. The property is clean and well-appointed. Marisa could not have been nicer! She was so welcoming and gave excellent advice and suggestions. All of the staff were accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful with many options. Location is great. It’s just steps from the bus route to bring you to all the castles. And easy (but hilly) walking to all restaurants. The staff is amazing. It was our first time in Sintra so we had some questions and the staff was so helpful! They made suggestions, ensured we knew where to go and ordered our taxis for us. The included breakfast was AMAZING! The orange juice was fresh squeezed, the fruit was fresh and presented beautifully. Definitely a high-end breakfast. Our room was perfectly clean. It seemed like it was renovated fairly recently. Highly recommend this place!

Wow, didn’t expect this hotel to be this beautiful! The hotel its self is historic outside but super modern and beautiful inside. Then the view from the hotel is just unbelievably stunning. Not mention that each room has A view! And the location! Walking distance to most places! Staffs are all super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing! Freshly baked bread, freshly cooked eggs, served with fresh fruit, coffee and juice…so much more, we can’t say enough good things about this place! We have our own private Terrace With an incredible view Of the valley below The Castle of the Moors. Our bathroom has heated marble floors! Everything about the room is comfortable and useful. Free bottled water, and a mini fridge with beer and other stuff available for purchase. The breakfast was excellent and we were served coffee, and helped ourselves to the rest of the buffet. The location is very convenient for shopping in Sintra or dining in casual or elegant restaurants. We were only going to stay one night but we're thrilled when our room was available for one more night! It has a nice kitchenette with big sink and coffee maker. The bathroom is modern and has a great shower. We love this hotel!

This is an ideal hotel when visiting Sintra. It is a short walk downhill to the town center and a short walk to paths up to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. The hotel is immaculately clean and our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed. The view out our window overlooking the palace in the heart of Sintra was lovely. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. The concierge was exceedingly helpful with directions and advice. Two considerations, neither the hotel’s fault: Sintra is an old town built on the side of a hill. The streets are narrow and parking extremely limited—I suggest you take a Bolt/Uber to the hotel and not bring a car. The beauty of Sintra is most easily enjoyed by foot, which means climbing up and down steep streets or paths. You can certainly get around by tuk-tuk or other means, but wear your walking shoes! I highly recommend this hotel.
