"The room was clean and neat, and this place is within walkable distance of the beach and a few shops/pubs. Staff were friendly and polite. My only concerns were that the bed was too hard for us and there didn't seem to be any air conditioning in our room. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay and we highly recommend it."

Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

8/10 Good
"Approached down the sort of steep, narrow and winding lane that makes urbanites nervous, the hotel has a mercifully spacious carpark. Our room was very comfortable. The restaurant was good, and the waiting staff exceptional. Can't really comment on the local amenities: our short visit coincided with very high winds whipping the sea into massive waves so the beach was dramatic and sadly inhospitable."

"We booked this stay at short notice as a stop off point on a longer journey. We could not have been made to feel more welcome by Andy, Veda and gorgeous pooch Lily. Veda welcomed us and gave us information about eateries ( we chose Rakhang Thai which was freshly prepared and delicious). On street parking was easy and free a few doors up from the house. Had a great nights sleep in a comfy bed. Lovely quiet location and easy walk to local amenities. Tea and coffee making available in our room. Breakfast and a very lovely chat with the hosts in their kitchen before leaving. Brilliant value for money."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Bridport

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Bridport is during January, February, and October, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those looking to explore the area's key historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to fully appreciate the stunning countryside, vibrant culture, and beautiful coastal scenery, while also enjoying activities related to wildlife and local history. Travellers on a budget will find that this period offers great value for money, with the added possibility that prices may drop even further.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com may offer discounted Bridport hotel deals if you explore the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you could find hotels with reduced rates near your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. The Smart Shopping tool, available via the app, is a handy comparison tool to help travellers compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re informed about any changes in availability or price drops for your preferred hotels.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more favourable rate for your stay in a Bridport hotel. If you’re in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that might help you find a more advantageous option.
  4. Consider your location: Choosing to stay nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. Independent hotels located a bit further out may offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
