Anker Hotel was a very convenient place to stay in Oslo. The location was definitely one of the best things about the hotel — I was able to walk almost everywhere, which made exploring the city very easy. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection to start the day. The room was comfortable enough for a short stay. The shower was a little small and might feel tight for taller people. Overall, it’s a practical and well-located hotel if your priority is being close to everything and exploring Oslo on foot. Nothing extraordinary, but it did the job and I had a decent stay.

The breakfast was great, fresh food. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The only thing that we didn’t like was how small the room was and bathroom was very tiny and the shower made a huge puddle. The bathroom also had a weird smell. The room just wasn’t comfortable, especially for the price we paid.

Frustrating not to be able to pay for the hotel when booking as due to the exchange rate I paid £25 more for my booking at the hotel than quoted when I originally booked it. No fridge or safe in the room and the bathroom is more of a wet room than bathroom. Having said that the room was a good size with a good view and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. A busy area so there was noise outside until quite late in the evening. Tram stop is right outside which is good for transport.

A mixed stay to be honest. The bed and room is nice, but then the window framing didn’t fit and was roughly constructed. The bathroom was fine but then just a single unlabelled mystery pump dispenser in shower. The staff were helpful and nice (shout out to those supporting breakfast), and the location was handy for trams (using Oslo pass). But you could hear the trams rubbling past the hotel even on higher floors. There’s good eating options a stroll up the road, but again you could hear bar music at night. A mixed stay but noting that the breakfast was great, lots of choices, and although busy was always fresh.

Our room was on the 12th floor and had a great view of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. We used the car park next to the hotel. The daily parking fee was 420 NOK, which was quite expensive. The hotel should provide better parking options for its guests.
