This is a large, business type hotel. Room was quite nice; a/c worked well enough; breakfast selection was great. We asked for our room to be cleaned on our 2nd day - a Tuesday. Scandic is another chain that has done away with automatic daily room cleaning post-Covid. Shrink-flation in action! Despite our request, the room hadn’t been cleaned when we returned at 16:00. We helped ourselves to fresh towels from a cart and had them send up toilet paper. When we complained to the front desk they claimed the room was still scheduled for cleaning - what had their staff been doing all day? This is also the company which charged us 150SEK, per their co. policy, for an early check-in at 14:30, rather than 16:00. This despite the fact that the room assigned had already been cleaned and was sitting empty. They apparently prefer to have all their new guests standing in line to check-in at 16:00 each day. Sadly, this is our second Scandic Hotel, of 3 on this trip. The first had issues too. Let’s hope the third time is the charm and we actually have a decent experience.
