Some guests who were clearly intoxicated brought bottles from the lobby into the hot tub area, which created a safety concern. I also had an upsetting experience with a couple at the pool who said they were regular guests. They were drinking heavily, and the wife made blatantly racist remarks to me, apparently not realizing that I am in an interracial relationship. I later learned that they had previously been flagged for making inappropriate comments at the pool. If the hotel is already aware of this pattern of behavior, I hope it will take stronger steps to protect other guests. I’m glad we used the pool on our first day because it was out of order by the second day, which was disappointing. We also found a ball underneath our bed, suggesting that the room had not been cleaned as thoroughly as it should have been. There were definitely positive aspects to our stay, but the cleanliness issue, alcohol-related safety concerns, and handling of repeat guests with known inappropriate behavior need attention."
