Gentleman at checkout was abrupt and rude. He saw my family of 4 exiting the elevator and said he had to charge me for an extra person in the room. I let him know that when I made reservation, there would be 4 people in the room. So he did not add the charge and skipped on to say that I’ll be charged for parking. I questioned that because we’ve stayed at this property several times and there was never a charge to self park. He said that this is a new policy since June. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and have never been treated so rudely.
Next time, we’ll stay 5 min down the road at La Quinta for less $. Parking there is free and includes complimentary daily breakfast.
