It has been a few years since I have stayed at Econo Lodge in Rehoboth. But the check in was very courteous. Room was very unexpectedly awesome. Clean, spacious and bathroom was awesome!

Nasty hotel that doesnt care.
There was a heating unit in the wall that did not work. There was a 1/4 inch gap around the balcony door. The Temperature outside was 12 degrees. I was told they didnt have another room available. I slept with all my clothes on.

My family used to stay in this Econo Lodge in the early 2000s and it's really gone downhill since. The whole building is in generally poor condition. Cracks in the walls & ceiling, water damage in the bathrooms, elevator makes scary noises...handles and fixtures loose or broken in the room. Mold in the air conditioner. I remember it used to be nice. Sad to see. But at least it is affordable if you need a place to crash and don't plan to spend much time there. The beds were clean and decent. Checkin/checkout was easy. Probably won't stay there again though.

Toilet wouldn’t flush. Sink handles didn’t work right. Toothpaste spots on sink fixtures. 2 inch step at front door that I kept tripping over- unsafe. Bathroom and front door had paint scraped off. Called 888 number a day ahead to inquire about checking in 30 minutes early. The man who answered told me to ask the front desk and stop wasting his time; then he hung up on me. Took a chance and arrived early; the front desk lady was super nice and accommodating. She was the only bright spot in a dismal stay.

Smells like cigarettes
First as you open the room a strong smell of cigarettes welcome you, The first attempt to try to avoid the smell is to turn-on the AC and it didn’t work. We end up turn it off. It has not been clean. I went to call the front desk and the phone is full of coffee and sticky it is gross. I have a child and I will not used the shower because the floor is dirty and has hairs on the drainage. I don’t normally said anything but the client pays for some thing to be clean and welcoming, it’s not fair. Never staying there.
