Could do better
It seems to be a lack of enthusiasm and costumer service in the team. Waiting time, and employees not attentive. Bathroom was clean but smelled mouldy.

Beware of the scam
This hotel runs a scam: they upload pictures of decent, fresh looking rooms only. In reality the room looked nothing like on the pictures. Very basic conditions in desperate need of renovations. The worst thing about it was the pungent stench coming from the carpet in the room and from the old, rotten shower courtain in the bathroom. It was so strong you couldn't breathe. Appaling conditions I haven't encountered anywhere else in the world, even in some remote places. Reception was completely uninterested in the issue, simply acknowledged that they knew the room wasn't what I supposedly booked but there was nothing they could do.

Sour smell in the room especially the toilet
Upon check in there is a funny “sour” smell in the room especially the toilet. The staff are very friendly and nice.

Perfect stay.
Check in was easy. The food at the hotel restaurant not only had a beautiful view but was also absolutely delicious. Also we were able to take a nice walk and hike through fields of lupine flowers from the hotel. Walkable to everything in town, including the grocery store.

Only complaint is that the entrance was a bit icy (but of course this was middle of winter). Staff very helpful and room very comfortable with amazing view. Will definitely return again.

Great hotel in the heart of Ísafjörður! The staff was very accommodating, as we were checking it quite late. They waited for us to serve us dinner, which was delicious. All the staff was super friendly: recepction, at the breakfast buffet, etc. We stayed in high-floor room and had a beautiful view of town. Really a great stop on a wonderful trip to Iceland.

Solo female traveler here. I spent 2 nights at the Isafjordur Hotel on my way to Hornstrandir. If you are planning a stop in Isafjordur, this hotel is possibly the best, if not the only, choice for location and services. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the Harbor where I boarded a Borea tour. It is also a ten minute walk to a very good seafood restaurant that has quite a following. The location in front of the water is superbly scenic, and the accommodations are more than adequate for a town with about 3000 residents. My room was small, with 2 very small twin beds side by side. It was clean and served the purpose. The bathroom was also quite small and did not have too much in terms of amenities. The breakfast was fine, and the dinner was acceptable as well. I would not give the hotel a 5-star rating, however, I felt that it fulfilled my needs very well. Isafjordur is a lovely town where I felt safe and would certainly recommend this hotel.
