ZANDILE
THE WHOLE FACILITY EQUIRES AN UPGRADE. BUILDING CONSTRUCTION IS OF POOR QUALITY. A RE-THINK NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE INTERNAL OF YOUR BATHROOMS .
YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC STAFF.
I WOULD RECOMMEND ZANDILE FOR MANAGEMENT TRAINING. SHE WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT MANAGER AT ONE OF YOUR RESORTS.
BOTH YOUR RECEPTION STAFF HAVE GREAT DECISION MAKING SKILLS. USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.

What a pity
First you have to get to the resort where either road has pot holes that make driving extremely hazadous. It all started so well, met at the entrance by a man in a bow tie.
The staff are really nice, friendly and attentive, but there is no leadership. Simple things like a float for the shop or bar. The moment you step out of the gates of the resort you are harrased by "tour guides". There are absolutely no amenities like other Wild Coast resorts. The place comes across as the illigetimate child the group have to acknowledge is in the family, but don't want much to do with it.
Our lights went out at 10pm on the Saturday with 4.5 hour load shedding and we did not have any electricity til about 6pm the following day because when it was reported to when some one could be bothered to fix it took about 8 hours. There was no running water, meaning we could not shower or bath and owing to no electricity could not cook the food we brought or even make a hot drink.
By then we had voted with our feet and left to face the dangerous journey back to Mquanduli through the potholes.
I can safely say I will never darken their doorstep again.
This is a resort desperate for some investment and leadership, because the scenery is absolutely stunning.
This resort in particular was famous for its Seafood Supper, now the seafood is frozen, even the braai night is gone.

Beautiful location
A beautiful setting and excellent on the Eastern Cape Wild Coast. Would love to return to the Hole in the Wall.
The self catering units we stayed in had stunning views. The units do need some maintenance and care, but overall an enjoyable stay.

Hole on the wall holiday
Good stay at hole in the wall, only problem was there were people drinking wine in the pool, although there is a board showing no drinking in the pool and one of the ladies took off her clothes, and there was not enough oversight by security to stop this. Drive to the hole in the wall is challenging with many potholes on the tar road and the gravel road is bad if using the gps.

Stunning ocean views from Hotel.
What a wonderful view from our hotel room and the walk to the hole is not so far and it is stunning out there. The hotel room needs attention, the one fridge is not up to standards, shelves are missing, as well as the stove looks not good. The people that try to sell goods outside the fence are very annoying. The last 30km to Hole in the Wall Hotel is very very bad, make sure to take the road via Coffee Bay, that is a much better option.

Endroit splendide!

Pleasant Surprise
The hotel is an unexpected haven of comfort and good food in a very remote place. The rooms are old but in reasonable condition. Enjoyed the walk to the Hole in the Wall.
Road access is just OK in the dry (lot of potholes) but in the wet it’s 4x4 stuff (adds a chunk of fun to the journey). If that’s what you enjoy it’s great. Great areas for cycling and some hiking.

Pleasant stay in the Wild Coast
The resort is great, its fully self catering. Close access to the beach and only about 10 minutes walk to hole in the wall. Be sure to buy all your groceries in one of the big cities before your arrival as you wont find any supermarkets nearby. This is a very rural area. They do have a restaurant and small shop selling charcoal and some sweets.
