Room was great, full kitchen and bath. Separate bedroom with pull out couch in living room. Only thing missing was paper towel and pot holders. Cabin comes stocked with all other basic kitchen items. Very friendly staff, an excellent place to stay

Cute rustic cabin
We absolutely loved staying in this cute rustic cabin. Everything is older and a little rough but it is such a cute little place! Probably not great if you have toddlers as there is a large floor to ceiling heater in the cabin that is hot to the touch when running. There does not seem to be any dish towels in the kitchen although you are required to wash and dry dishes before check out.

Great staff
These chalets are really cute but they are very tiny. It was comfortable but the bathroom was very small. Not sure if it was the owner or a worker but fantastic people there.

Rustic, clean-ish but NEED new beds and beddings.
The place is quaint, it's in a decent location between Canmore and the entrance to Banff park but the cabin can do with some upkeep and updates. I think the cabin's rustic feel is nice, love the wood burning fireplace but could use a new bed and bedding, the ones on there is really worn out, clean-ish we think but worn and old (so you can't really tell if its clean), same with the pillow and pillow cases, that we had to put our sweaters on them when we slept. The pull out couch should be replaced as the one where we were in the couch is sagging in the middle, so its uncomfortable and the springs are noisy so every time you turn it squeaks and the covers are questionable (same, old and worn). The kitchen could use an update as well with a working fridge would be nice. Showers have to be maneuvered a certain way (with directions put up on how to use) to be used, so we didn't. For one night, you can put up with it but would not be comfortable for a longer stay. And If you're already paying $230 upwards, I would suggest pay a little more for more comfort = better sleep/rest and closer to town (Canmore).

Cute, rustic and just what I needed
I've stayed at Rundle almost everytime I'm in the area, they are older and in need of some maintenance however, they are warm, cute, rustic and are self contained with honestly what you'll need for basics! I usually bring my own pillows & blanket just because we'll that's just me but bed was decent, had a stove, microwave and refrigerator. Big bonus is they are also pet friendly which is important because we always bring ours with us! The staff are always really nice as well! Can't beat the price either!

Oldie and not so goodie.
Very beat up old cabin but clean. Bed was bouncy. Reminded me a going to camp as a youngster and I looked at it as an adventure. My husband was less than impressed.

I stayed here in a one bedroom cabin as it was affordable compared to all other accommodations in the Canmore/Banff area. Yes the cabins are old and much of the appliances and interior was as well. The cabin was clean and well made. There was plenty of room in the kitchen and sitting room, the bathroom was small but ok and the water was nice and hot. The area was great if you’re exploring the mountain areas, easy access off highway The staff were friendly, informative and helpful. There were areas of old tires, vehicle debris, etc in the yard. If you have high expectations this may not be the place for you, I found it cozy, safe and mostly affordable in an unaffordable location.

2/10 Poor

The room smells when first stepped in. It’s an old cabin that needs good renovations. Still uses big gas heater. Room and bathroom are small. Bed is old and needs face lift. The only good thing is there’s kitchenette to cook and outdoor plugs for my Tesla to charge. But for the price and a place to lie down is good enough and don’t expect more.

The staff were very friendly and kind. I would suggest to have expectations for what you pay for. It is very nice to have a more affordable spot near Canmore. But the cabins are outdated and very rustic. Which was a part of the fun in staying there. There were little things like our thermostat was hanging from the wires in the wall. The furnace made a loud clunking noise every once in a while. The kitchen is not a full kitchen but had a microwave, toaster oven and a little plug in grill top. Some dishes were not clean when we went to use them. Shower was very small. I think if your expectation is to have an affordable spot in Canmore, this is great! If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not it.

Location was great and the cabins are quiet. The cabin is very dated including the sheets and couch covers. The oven door was broken, dishes in cabinet were dirty and overall cabin needed a deep cleaning.

I was looking for a camping feel, and aside from being off the highway, it was woodsy and quiet. The price is good for a small cosy cabin and staff is friendly, though not in the office 24/7. In the end, we weren’t in there very much and didn’t have a fire or anything, though there were pits available. Very good deal for the money. We were able to rent bear spray instead of buying for $80 down the street for something we didn’t need since all the hikes we took were inundated with people and no bears would go near them.

Front desk speaks no English! No way to ask for pillows and sheets for the pull out sofa. No way to get information about hiking in the park, visiting, all due to complete lack of English. Required to wash dishes and put them up (otherwise there is a charge) but NO dish towel. Required to take trash out but huge cleaning fee. No mattress protector -yuk!!! Kitchen with kiddie dishes only. No kitchen tools. Stay away.

we loved our stay here! the cabin was rustic and cozy. the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed resting in the cabin after long days in banff. there are fire pits, barbecues, and places to sit outside like picnic tables and the gazebo. it was so relaxing and quiet here, and we loved when we’d see the resident cats and dog near the office
