10/10 Exceptional

Exceptional customer services. Bernard, Verónic and all the staff eager to please always with a smile. Small village hotel just as we planned. Upon arrival we were upset as had stayed in deserted railroad station for over three hours. No taxis, bus or even someone to ask. Finally someone came with a taxi and we asked taxi to bring us. Taxi service only one car and didn’t answer phones. We wanted to leave a few days earlier. Bernard was firm but accommodating. He helped us arrange for a rental car from garage, and taxi for to pick us up as needed. We felt pampered and like family. Hotel undergoing upgrades but no complaints as no disruptions. Food the best we had anywhere in France. We felt at home and hated leaving them. Bernard always with a smile even with luck of language. The only thing I would say is that the hotel closes from 3 to 5:30 daily and phones not answered. Monday’s almost everything in StSoxy is closed.

8/10 Very good

Charming little hotel for good price
The owner of the hotel was very helpful to assist us in an organisational problem concerning our trip. We enjoyed a tasty dinner on a shady lawn area beside the hotel. Breakfast offerings and room quality were rather satisfactory. The only minus was the absence of an elevator, rendering transportation of heavy luggage inconvenient.

Make sure it's not fair week
We loved the place except for the LOUD live band that played until 3:15am, across the street. So, I would say, book it, but first check that it is not the time of year for their town fair.

Terrific Experience
If you are looking for that little auberge in France where you can pull into a charming village and stay in quaint hotel and have the meal fo your life - this is it! What a joy - beautiful village - hospitality - incredible food ( homemade fois gras that was out fo this world). A terrific experience - Merci beaucoup!

6/10 Good
