Great hotel
Basic, small room but fully equipped and importantly it had a very good comfortable bed. At the price point offered it was excellent value for money. Be aware the hotel is in a lively part of Dublin and is over a large pub but if you ask for a quiet room at the back they will oblige. Excellent reception and check in. Very friendly. Very good optional breakfast with unlimited coffee in the pub below. Very convenient for anyone with business in D2 Harcourt office zone.

Overall Unpleasant
Both the room and public areas were dirty when I arrived and did not receive attention from staff. A bucket for a leak was left in the middle of the hallway full of water for several days and everything smelled of mold in the area. Cleaners entered my room daily but didn’t vacuum the grit that was on the floor when I checked in or switch out towels that were left in the bathtub per instructions. The cooling stopped working in the middle of the night and staff were unable to fix it or switch my room. Management was unresponsive to issues and the manager talked over me when I attempted to speak to him. This place definitely did not live up to the expectations set by other reviews.

Good deal for Dublin
A sprawling complex formed from an erstwhile convent, with a very large bar and restaurant on two levels. Lots of nice aesthetic touches. If it’s a busy bar night, you may want to skirt around the crowd, which you can do. The rooms are quiet. Well located. Cheap breakfast options. A very good deal for Dublin.

Really appreciated our stay here, they let us check in early in the morning on the first day of our trip which allowed us to sleep and not have any jet lag. Room was nice and location was within walking distance of everything. Breakfast is affordable and delicious. The hotel does get busy in the evenings with people enjoying a few pints downstairs, but the noise was minimal in the room. Overall a solid choice.

Basic & noisy
Firstly of you are driving don't book this hotel, they do not have parking and there is a cycle lane outside so it is impossible to even pull up to drop bags. Their recommended parking is a 10 min drive / 20 min walk away at St. Stephen's Green. You do get a 40% discount (just as well as two nights cost me €92!). When you do finally get into the hotel it has the most complicated layout as it is also a Weatherspoons Pub too (red flag No. 1) and you have to negotiate a maze of corridors and locked doors to get to the lift. Thin gs do not really improve once you get to your room, ours was small, narrow and right over the street which is directly opposite the Bleeding Horse pub / night club, so noise till very late. The bathroom was decent, big shower. Didn't have breakfast there, I did mention it was a Weatherspoons, right? Only book if you are not driving and don't mind noise.

The room and the staff was great, the only thing i could complain about was the layout of the interior. But all in all a very comfortable stay and a very good hotel experience

Worth the price
Really great stay for one night! It’s a bit cheaply designed and styled, could do with a proper deep clean, but everything was perfectly satisfactory. Staff were lovely and held bags while we waited to check in (early check in options would be nice, and the baggage hold is just beside the counter so doesn’t feel very secure). Would stay again for a short trip given the price.

Better then I had expected
Wasn’t sure what the hotel was going to be like, at check in the receptionist wasn’t the most welcoming but she warmed up by the end of the check in. Once we got to the room I noticed the rubbish can full so it wasn’t emptied from the last people but the room was very clean apart from that. Nicely decorated and comfortable sleep. Location is great close to everything Had breakfast in the bar the next morning, staff very nice and very reasonably priced. Bar is very big and spacious and can see the history of the building by the way it’s decorated. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I would definitely stay again.
