4/10 Fair

A shame its the only option in town.
I have to say, although clearly understaffed, the staff they had on-site were all lovely.
The lobby and halls presented well but the rooms are a different story. At least where we stayed on level 8 (room 801) anyway.
Windows are not double glazed so they are incredibly noisy if you want fresh air, also no screens if you want fresh air but are keen to keep bugs out.
Aircon is a very outdated system it was either freezing or really hot.
No opening window or fan in the bathroom. We had three registered guests but they only ever left us two towels during our almost week-long stay (Sunday till Friday)
Our room was a one-bedroom suite "suitable for three people" yet there was only one spot to hang up one towel so we found ourselves constantly having to ask for fresh towels in winter as they were still sopping wet and cold at the end of each day.
They use the tiny throwaway shampoo and conditioner rather than wall-mounted eco-friendly refillable options which was a real bummer to see.
The rooms are just tired - the carpet is stained, the furniture is old and the bathrooms need redoing. Our room smells of smoke.
The elevator broke down whilst we were there and I overheard one lady talk about how her bathroom mirror was held up with duct tape.
Overall just didn't feel like it was worth $300 + a night compared to other hotels of the same price.
