Hotel Monastère Maastricht

Hotel has good standard, top location, but no parking. You have to add Euro 24,-- per day for parking. It was a first for me to have a room without a wardrobe or chest of drawers, the bathroom had an excellent shower, but a tiny washbasin and lack of facilities for storage.

Beautiful bedroom and bathroom, overall design is impressive. The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast was tasty, more fresh fruit options would have been nice.

Was in town for a couple of days for an Andre Rieu concert. The original room were checked into had a hole in the ceiling which was stuffed with a white towel and sealed up with gaffer tape (see attached photo). Quickly complained and was assigned a new room which was acceptable however neither of the small rooms contained a wardrobe for clothes hanging! I have travelled a lotover the years but this was a first for me. The receptionist brought a mobile clothes rack which we used. They must receive a lot of similar requests. The hotel was clean and well decorated, apparently opened a year ago and was previously a monastery. The bathroom wet room concept didn't work too well as the floor outside of the shower area also became wet as a result of showering. The hotel is in a great location and the breakfast was delicious. My cousin/s room had a bed that was crammed into the corner with access only on one side of the bed where there was a cupboard that couldn't be used because the bed prevented the door from opening and therefore the cupboard being used!

Brilliant location, staff very nice, decor good, will stay there again

Nice hotel, perfect location, very friendly staff. But an absolute lack of shelf space, no closets, and only one cup and one glass in a double room booked for two people ??
