Great place to stay in Aqua Calientes. My room was clean. The staff was informative and helpful. A+ hospitality. The alpaca empanadas and ice cream next door in the cafe were tasty. But the best part of my stay was the rainfall shower. .

The only reason we gave Mapi Gardens 4 stars is because of its location. It is conveniently located; however, many of the hotel rooms face the train station, which is loud and very, very smoky (fumes). If we had a room that didn't face the train station, it would have been a lot better. The staff was great. The homemade breakfast options were great. It is a clean, safe hotel. Just request a room that does not face the station.

Clean room and it was very spacious, the staff went above and beyond. The toilet was overflowing and staff came and sorted it asap and clean everything up. Had to check out very early to go up to Machu Picchu, they left me a breakfast bag at he front desk to take with me. Note: the front desk isn’t 24hrs but they will try and accommodate your needs. Great for leaving your luggage whilst hiking Machu Picchu. Definitely recommend this place, as it’s near the train station, markets for souvenirs and food places.

Only complaint was the location. We had the family room that was infront of the train station so we diesel fumes all day long . The room was hot and we had to choose between fumes or cooler air. The family who runs this place is absolutely amazing, they couldn't be more helpful. Beds were comfortable . I would recommend but see if there is a room not at the front
