Parking was amazing! We went in middle of renovations. Which didn't help. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room itself was well maintained and clean. At night we could hear everything. Not at all sound proof. The air-condition worked very well.

To be fair it is under renovations. The room we stayed in was CLEAN and nice however there was no hot water at night and no cold water in the morning and no air conditioning. Also there is no bolt on the door (which is alarming for solo female travellers) it was also very apparent that on the event of a fire everyone was going to die. No windows to open and no easy stair accesss.

The hotel was locked when we arrived, with a phone number on the front door to call if we wanted access. It took less than a minute once we called. Elevator was not working. We were supposed to have a room on the 3rd floor, the man at the desk told us we could cancel without penalty, but we kept the reservation when offered to have a room on the 2nd floor and after seeing the room. Room was very old but clean, beds were comfortable. Portable air conditioning was efficient. We could hear the people above us moving stuff around for a while once we got in bed, but the night was quiet. Hotel has a private parking with non automated door, but we did not use it as we had a spot on the side with no parking fees on Sunday. All that being said, I would probably book here again since the price is so low compared with other hotels in Kenora. When the renovations are done, this could be a nice place.

My review is similar to many here. The property is in the midst of a renovation. The rooms they rent are all completely renovated, clean and comfortable. But as yet, there is no elevator. My room was on the 3rd floor. The hallways were clear, but it’s clearly a construction zone. The parking was secure, but a bit unconventional. Your key card unlocks the door, then you have to slide it open, drive in, and close it behind you. But it was nice to have my car warm and secure.

No hot water in the shower. No window that can open in the bedroom ( heat accumulates ) Fridge making a very loud intermittent high pitch noise ( had to disconnect it ) TV was not set up, I had to look at cables the wall and the system to make it work. The metal plate in the front door was not screwed in, I had to screw them myself for the door to function had intended. They are renovating, but they should not rent a room like this. They should give a partial refund, it does not deserve to be charged full price. On the positive end, the guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful, the room itself was clean and the sheets were clean, the room itself has been renovated so it’s nice and modern.

Room had dust build up on heat rad, mold in shower stall, fridge had someone's left over ice cream in freezer, air conditioner was jerry rigged, no elevator for 3 flights of stairs, hallways full of awful odors, parking was complicated through wooden entryway nag locked at far side of building entrance. Clerk was cautioning customers that there were issues and telling customers that they could cancel. He was also taking customers to see rooms before they decided to stay. Access to the hotel was hit or miss based on availability of staff. No parking available on the property. We decided to cancel and booked at another location.

I booked online and it never said the building was under renovations. I'm a 61 year old woman with a bad hip and had to climb three flights of stairs to our room because the elevator was out of service. The suites were nice enough but I would have appreciated a heads up that there was construction going on and I had to climb that many flights with a suitcase.
