The Dolphin is in a great position in the town with the benefit of parking. Bar, lounge and corridor areas are well decorated and furnished with lovely ambience. Cosy double bedroom adequate for short stay but could benefit from slight upgrade. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

Staff were friendly and the evening meal we had was very nice. The room was small the bathroom was very small could do with a shelf as the washbasin it tiny. The bed was comfortable and there was a great selection of teas,coffees , hot chocolate and biscuits.

Clean and comfertable. Food, wine and beer good. Good location. Many well behaved dogs. Only issue, booked a table in resteraunt, didn't expect dogs to be in there-but ok. But to see a cat led flat out on top of dining table, with no one attempting to move it, until diners arrived to unwiped table(cat bed)?Relocated for meal to bar area.

We were greated as soon as we arrived by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who then showed us to our room. The room was clean and spacious with a very nice bed. Gorgeous family room, such an accommodating establishment! So clean, great food, lovely helpful staff especially the lovely gentleman that checked us in and showed us our family room. We had a nice stay at The Dolphin breakfast and evening meal very good. We were in a “ deluxe “ room, and yes the bed was lovely and comfortable and the room pleasant, however the bathroom was very small with nowhere to put anything except the floor and not even a hook on the door. The biggest problem was the sink, which was a tiny hand wash one.

Looking on the web page the Frontage looks great not so from the rear. Inside is well laid out plenty of seating areas. Cosy means small They run a reduced menu on Sundays which for me was limited. The Staff are helpful and quick to help if you have any issues.
