A place in Safari town (Tissa) with character
We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa.
Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive.
We had a few minor issues, such as a very minor leak (understandable as the build has recently had work done), but the team addressed promptly and properly. Don’t let that put you off because the hotel was very clean, comfortable and had AC, cold fridge and served good food. Breakfast on the veranda was memorable, it is such a beautiful setting, the omelette and fruit was delicious and so well presented.
We walked along the lake each evening and enjoyed seeing the locals spending time and having fun there.
I have added a few photos for information.
We really enjoyed staying at the hotel and wish the team well as they definitely looked after us.

This place was a big disappointment! Hotel had canceled our 4 lake view rooms and given them to a big Indian group. So we got 2 terrible rooms with parking lot view with totally worn out madrases! Two rooms were 2 km away! On check out front desk tried tow force us to pay wines we had paid!
