Pet friendly great value for price - old but clean

Very clean even if old. Amazing price, pet welcome, clean towels. Wear socks because older floors have a sticky vinyl but otherwise everything was clean and we slept soundly. Felt very safe.

Unpleasant visit

Cockroach in the bathroom. Had to kill it with the remote that didn't work anyway. Water in the shower stopped running. Had to get out of the shower and asked to be moved to another room in a different building that had running water. The young man at the front desk was very accommodating, however.

BIKERS FROM EL PASO AND BAKERSFIELD.

OUR FIRST ROOM, THE SINK DID NOT DRAIN, AND NO PHONE. THE KIND LADY MOVED US TO ANOTHER ROOM, BUT THE LIGHTS INSIDE WERE NOT WORKING AND THE BATHROOM DOOR WAS INOPERATIVE, BUT THE BEDS WERE OK. AND NO COFFE MACHINE.

My days rounding Gila Bend.

A night cap in Gila Bend was quiet and economical. The staff at first made me a little flustered after describing how to get on the internet. After working thru the pointing and explaining barrier we were off to a better start. Overall experience cool, Micro wave was out, had to set my soup out in the sun to cook. Fix the micro wave and your good, actually had to leave it out on the counter to cook though. True story lol

Showing its age

There are limited options in Gila Bend. The motel is need of refurbishing. The floors have a very thin carpet and the towels are thin. The TV was old and the remote did not work. i was just interested in a safe place to spend the night and it met that requirement. The bed was comfortable and the door has a dead bolt. If we were planning on swimming or needed more than just a place to rest this would not be my first choice.

Good nights rest while traveling

Girl at check in was super nice, hotel was clean as were the grounds. Felt safe there. I'm a light sleeper and the train woke me up a few times, never woke up my wife. They don't honk their horn, just the rumbling of the train. Decent coffee in the morning at 6:30 when I went to the lobby.

Decent hotel for smokers

This is an average hotel for the price. We didn’t shower, but otherwise, I think this is adequate for a night traveling through, especially for smokers, as it’s hard to find smoking rooms. There’s a refrigerator and microwave in the room. It’s an older motel, not great, not terrible by any means.

Devil in the Desert

We arrived to find construction next to our room. We asked to be moved. Every room they moved us to was 90 degrees. After 3 tries to find a cool room we ended up staying in the original room. The next day the owner stated we gave them a hard time. I told him what anyone else would say. That no one could sleep in a room at the temperature. I was very courteous to him. Then he was angry because I have a medium size service dog. He asked for paper work which was not an issue. We gave it to him and he stated that we were dishonest people because we did not have one of those fake plastic cards you can buy on the internet. The fee for a dog was only 10 dollars. I told him not to worry I would just pay him the 10 dollars. We tried to explain to him however he continued to yell at us that we were dishonest people. I should of complained to the ADA. He is not worth the stay. Mr. and Mrs Endres

For the price it was great. Can't complain Personal was great and accommodating. I was not wanting the Tashmahal. I got what i needed clean place to sleep and shower after work and pool was clean and perfect. And it was not noisey

You get what you pay for. All in all, we just needed a place to lay our head for the night and wash up in the morning. It met those requirements. However, the floor was disgusting. One wall had dried up ketchup from a previous guest smeared on it. The caulking job in the bathroom looked like someone hired a toddler to do it. The mattress was so firm, I think a slab of concrete would have been more comfortable to sleep on. The towels provided were about as useful as drying off with paper towels. Oh, and apparently feeling secure at night with the use of a deadbolt is a luxury as ours did not work. Next time, we will pay a little more somewhere else.

We were tired traveling over the road so I decided to go online and book a room that was affordable. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and it was very quiet. Over all a nice stay.

No hospitality

We were very surprised at the treatment we received at the Gila Bend Knights Inn. We arrived late at the hotel around 8:30 pm and the clerk could not find our reservation for starters, and I could not find my confirmation number right away. I tried to get on the internet to get my # and the clerk was very reluctant to give us the hotel password. He said lots of people come in and get the password and do not stay and just use the internet outside. After finding my confirmation # in my purse, the clerk to 10 minutes to find it on his computer. There was a discussion on the fact that we had already been charged on our Visa for the room and the clerk did not believe us, so we were going to go on the computer to find the charge on our Visa. He refused to give us the password for the internet. By now 1/2 hour had gone by and we were very tired and just wanted to cancel and get our $ back. There was a discussion on how to do that, and we were very frustrated with his attitude and said we were leaving and we would figure out the refund later. Just before going out the door, the clerk said it was because of the colour of his skin that things did not go well. We were flabbergasted at that accusation. Not once did we even hint at anything discriminatory. He was very heated and told us to just go. We have never never been treated like that ever in any hotel! Would definitely not recommend this hotel ever! We did not see the rooms but had to fill in the survey as if we did.
