A museum explains its role in the Second World War, when it was used by both the British and Japanese. There is another museum on the edge of the Park— the National Museum of Singapore. It houses a permanent multimedia exhibition on Singapore's history. Then there's the famed Istana Park. It serves as an entrance to the President's official residence. A changing of the guard ceremony takes place here, and it is also home to the 80-foot high Festival Arch, which rises evocatively from a reflecting pool.

How to get to Orchard Road
