The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the facilities were very clean and a nice, artistic setting throughout the hotel. Breakfast was incredible and more than adequate each day, with the common areas being comfortable and inviting. Laundry facilities were small but adequate for the size of the hotel. This was perfect for our short stay in Kyoto. Room service was excellent, the rooms are a little small but it seems to be the case in Japan :) we both loved the thoughtfulness and care for all the amenities and little touches in the room and the staff were wonderful and really helpful. Having laundry in the hotel was useful although the dryer is not too strong so you may need to run multiple rounds. This place was also close to the city centre and Kyoto station despite being in a quieter neighborhood.

FYI the breakfast was not free however it was inexpensive and the food was good. I highly recommend the hotel. It's in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to plenty of eateries. It has a relaxed hipster vibe and a lovely bar. Plus the room was gorgeous!

This was a great hotel and the staff were great. The only negative is that it is a 15 minute walk in rougher sidewalks to the station. But other than that it was super clean, the staff were great and the breakfast was amazing.
