The place is ok, but in need of renovation. The carpet had a bit of a smell. My room didn't have hot water (though cold water is not very cold there). Given the lack of potable water in Kinshasa, it would be quite useful to take a travel electric tea kettle.

The Grand Hotel is in significant need of a renovation, particularly the bathrooms. However, the cleanliness and service are both good. And the fact that the hotel is attached to the Pullman, allowing use of its restaurants, pool, and gym makes staying here worthwhile. I work for an INGO and, since donors do not want to their donations spent on luxury accommodations, it is a good budget choice in this expensive town, providing comfort without 5-star luxury .

Grand Hotel was good value for money and connected to Pullman hotel so you can use its facilities. The hotel could do with renovating but i had a very good time staying at the grand hotel.
