The owners are really great hosts. The location is beautiful. the only negative is it is located 17 miles down a road you truly should drive over 30 miles an hour on. But the lodge is truly worth the drive.

Highly recommended! Our stay at The Point Lodge was WAY better than expected. First off, the location is beautiful. The lodge is on a point on the lake with incredible views that are worth the drive to experience. Secondly, the family that runs the lodge was warm and made us feel welcome. They were ery accommodating, proactive and helpful during our stay. The food was great too (try the fresh fish and chips!) and they have 4-5 beers on tap and a full bar. We stayed in the Lodge instead of the cabins. There is a family room with a full bathroom, but we stayed in rooms with a toilet in the room and a shower down the hall, which worked great. We needed a couple days to recharge, so we spent a lot of the time in the Lodge just doing puzzles and enjoying the view. There are puzzles and games and even some legos for the kids, if you just want to stick around and relax. If you’re traveling between Anchorage and Fairbanks and want to take the scenic route, this a great stop along the way. It’s also a place where you could spend a week to relax and fish and just get away. We hope to do that someday soon!

I couldn't expect more from this lovely off grid place. Keon's family is the best host I've ever met. Feels like back home to meet old folks. Highly recommend
