Excellent hotel

We stayed for two nights in a superior room which was perfectly clean and comfortable. Only minor problems that did not affect our stay were we had to have the room card re-programmed twice to get access, despite keeping it well away from mobile phones, and changing channels on the otherwise excellent TV was difficult. There was also a lovely chill-out lounge near our room which appeared to be a brilliant facility, we just didn't have an opportunity to use it during our visit. The restaurant, staff and food were nothing short of excellent. The only negative experience during our stay was the night porter displaying totally unwarranted and staggeringly rude and arrogant behaviour towards my wife when he would have been better offering assistance, however our complaint was taken seriously by the hotel and we were content to leave them to take their own action. While he let his employers and colleagues down badly he is clearly not representative of the standards at this excellent hotel which I recommend and would look forward to staying at again if the opportunity arose.
