Hotel is very impressive in terms of decor and overall standard. Breakfast was very good, as were the spa facilities. Staff were all very friendly. Couple of points, I don’t think the junior suite is worth the money. It’s not much of an upgrade over a standard room to justify the price difference; either get a standard room or go for the full suite. Secondly, on the Saturday night there was an event in the bar above us, and due to the layout of the hotel I think that the bar was directly above us. It went on until at least 1 am, and made it quite difficult to get to sleep.

As I reflect back to a month ago when we stayed at the Jakarta Hotel I must say it was worth every euro and more. The hotel room was fabulously outfitted, from the bedding and furnishings, bathroom and towels, to the balcony and its view of the canal. The restaurant was fabulous in every way: food both the extensive breakfast buffet to the amazing dinner selections, to the staff and the setting. The front desk staff was both helpful and patient. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Even though Amsterdam is a walking city, the Jakarta Hotel was a perfect location since we were using Uber to get around due to mobility issues. We highly recommend this hotel.
