Destiny Scotland Apartments at Nelson Mandela Place

Information about entry codes went into my junk email so make sure you check this. It felt strange not to have a key or any staff on hand at the property but the number to call was clearly communicated should there be any issues. Arrival time is 3pm and the main door/luggage store keypads allowed me entry to building at 2:15pm but the apartment door code didn't work at this point. I left my bag and went to the local shops for a bit, returning after 3pm when the flat code was activated. The property is in an excellent, central location, next door to Startbucks and a few minutes walk from the railway station. The room was modern and big with an amazing view out of the huge windows to shoppers and workers below walking up and down Buchanan Street. The bath'room' is more like a pod: compact and space-saving with a sliding door and motion sensor lighting; I found it too small and kept knocking my elbows when washing my face at the small sink. I think someone else mentioned an awful smell in wardrobe from a mop and bucket stored there. It was so bad that I shut the door immediately and never opened it again during my stay. I was grateful for the 6 coat hooks behind the main apartment door, which I used for hanging my clothes instead. The bed was comfortable although earplugs are essential for sleeping due to buses passing below the windows. I liked the emphasis on recycling but placement of the bins right beside the sofa/TV wasn't ideal.

Great location very central which is fantastic, the unit is very spacious and confortabile, very good bed even though it is supposed to be a "king" size but Queen is ok as well. TV a bit small. Other than that overall great place to stay in the heart of the city. Heating works well even though one nigh it turned it self to 9 degrees at about 3:00AM and did the same thing at about 6:00AM but the room stayed ok did not get too cold. The only two things that we had a bit of an issue with was the noise from the next door night club over the weekend but easy to solve with the aid of some ear plugs and the other issue is the building illumination from the outside is right under the windows that illuminate the room until about 3:00AM. Both of these things are ok if you are tired enough :-) Otherwise all good and we would definitely be happy to stay there again.

I had a amazing stay at this apartment, I was in town for business and the apartment was great to relax and work during my stay, I was very impressed with the facilities and it was overall very modern and clean, i would definitely recommend.

A great apartment, very central but slightly off the main road so the noise, although noticeable, did not detract from the experience. Nest heating system which was easy to operate, very comfy bed and all utensils etc which you would need were provided. Tea & coffee were provided, although salt & pepper would be nice! Subway was just across the road should you wish to travel about, and it was just minutes from the rail and bus station.

Stayed for a night Xmas shopping and dinner, location was perfect in the centre of Glasgow . The room was excellent everything in prestine condition. Had an issue with getting in the room but sorted in rapid speed once I called the number provided. Will definitely use again .

Great location very central Noisy in mornings tho if your looking for long lie Much better than hotel room. Easy access and straight forward instructions

Great location in downtown Glasgow. Minor niggles - there is no elevator to the suites and it is a fair hike to the suites on the upper floor. Also, the dry cycle on the cloths washer/dryer is very ineffective. Good communication for getting the entry codes. Would definitely stay there again.

Ideal location , close to the Queen Street train station and the Buchanan subway stop, spotlessly clean and fully equipped. The code for entering the property worked flawlessly and everything in the apartment worked . The windows are almost soundproof and the shades are very effective. I will stay there the next time I am in Glasgow.
