Comfortable stay
Redwings is great for a simple, comfortable, stay. Comfortable bed; hot, powerful shower and a brilliant friendly front-of-house team. As others have said, the bathrooms, whilst clean, could do with freshening up

As previous reviews have indicated, a budget place, a little worn round the edges but with very friendly staff and excellent value. Plenty of parking. Powerful shower. Well located.

Brilliant from start to finish clean quiet room was lovely staff were helpful just 1 niggle not enough coffee or milk but when asked they didnt hesitate to provide pillows too soft and only enough bath towels for one person

Cheap and cheerful, great value. Staff were lovely, super helpful and really friendly. Clean and tidy room. Handy to have the bar next door. Surprising number of nice places to eat within 2min walk.

We had a lovely stay - what made the stayed the most enjoyable was the star you have in reception (Joy) this is the person that’s making your hotel shine she’s wonderful in every way we really enjoyed her presence after a long day at work.

Yet again, the STAFF made our stay fantastic.
First Class welcome and departure at Reception - the lady on duty was PERFECT !! The room was better than we expected for the price we paid - this is not a 5* Hotel !!! OK it was a little run-down in places, but the bed/linen/towels were clean, the room was clean and everything worked. The bathroom showed its age and could do with an update BUT - and this is the most important thing - the hotel charges bargain room rates. Free parking, free wifi and a Wetherspoon next door for a great value breakfast. This is our 2nd stay here and we've found it easier/cheaper to book here and Uber to where we need to go - which means we can enjoy a drink too as we don't have to drive. We eat at the attached pub on our last visit but weren't impressed at all - but that's fine as there are plenty of good quality restaurants, cafes, takeaways within a few minutes walk. Did I mention the brilliant lady on Reception !!!!

For the money I’m impressed
As budget hotels go I was really happy with my stay. It was a stop off for business. The room was big, bed really comfy too. The bathroom could have done with an update but on saying that everything worked well. No noise issues at all and would stay there again if needed. Adjoining the hotel is a pub which sold decent food and a good pint. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and there are two supermarkets within easy walking distance.
